The "Old Ebbitt Grill" is a
historic "power" restaurant, situated next to the Treasury Building, around the
corner from The White House. I believe it's the oldest saloon in Washington.
Frequented by congressmen and the like to this day, Teddy Roosevelt used to have the
occasional drink here and some of his game trophies decorate the walls.
NOTE: Since posting this image, I was
contacted by a woman from D.C. whose boyfriend is a frequent visitor to the Grill.
She ended up buying this sketch from me and giving it to him for Christmas!
Now if I could just sell ALL the sketches I make while waiting for dinner in
restaurants, I could take a lot more vacations!
