If I could change one thing about my
experience doing The Stone Fey, in hindsight, I would have fought harder about the cover.
For the most part, Allyn, Harcourt and I saw remarkably eye to eye. On the
cover...well, when they told me they didn't like this image I was disappointed...but I
could live with it. When I saw the cover comp with the bright yellow title type on
it, I was...well it's hard to describe exactly what I thought, and think, about it.
I can live with the cropped image, but to this day I still hate the bright yellow type and wish I could change it. I've posted "my version" of what I wanted the cover to look like...see what YOU think, just don't blame me for the yellow type, it wasn't my decision.
