Originally, I had planned to show the empty wheelchair from an aerial view with butterflies streaming up towards the reader, but in working on the comps I realized a straight on view was more effective for showing the stream of butterflies.

 

Color Comp

This comp went through about five versions---the most of any piece in the book---and they kept getting simpler and simpler in approach.  I would show all five here, but they really aren't very interesting.
