I'm happy with this painting, but sometimes I wonder if I shouldn't have stuck with the original color comp for this spread.  (You can see it here.)  My editor and I went back and forth over it.  This image makes Shining feel more persecuted, but I think the comp makes a more dramatic visual statement.		johnclapp.com Children's Books
